Students wishing to attend an SD61 school outside of their English or French SD61 catchment school must apply to transfer. Transfer applications are reviewed based on Student Enrolment Priorities and the availability of space at the desired school. All transfer requests must be accompanied with proper documentation confirming your home address.
Kindergarten Registration and Transfer Week (January 27-31, 2025)
Parents who wish to have their Kindergarten child attend a school other than their designated catchment school can apply for a transfer during Kindergarten Registration and Transfer Week. A transfer request can be made when registering online for your catchment school through the online Kindergarten registration process.
If a student is not approved for a transfer during registration, they can apply for their second-choice school during the annual K- 12 Student Transfer Process in February (see below).
Annual K – 12 Student Transfer Process (February 10-13, 2025)
The annual K-12 Student Transfer Process facilitates requests from students at any grade level to transfer to schools outside of a designated catchment. To apply, you must complete and submit a hard-copy transfer form during the K-12 Student Transfer Process week in February.
Transfer application forms will be added to this webpage on February 7 at 4:00pm for families to download and print. In addition, students can pick up a hardcopy from the school office beginning February 10.ÌýStudents are to turn in completed transferÌýapplicationsÌýtoÌýtheirÌýcurrent school’s office during the transfer period from February 10-13. Transfer applicationÌýforms will not be accepted at schoolÌýofficesÌýprior to February 10.ÌýTransferÌýapplicationsÌýwill be determined in accordance with student enrolment priorities and, therefore, there isÌýno advantage in submitting transfer applications early. Please submit your application form at your convenience during the communicated dates.
