The District Facilities Department is responsible for providing year round support for education throughout the Greater ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµÎÛ School District ensuring that buildings and grounds meet all regulatory requirements, and are maintained to district standards in an efficient, cost-effective manner. We are also responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of capital and school-funded projects. Projects range from new school construction, major additions and renovations, asbestos removal, seismic upgrading, mechanical heating system replacements to flooring replacement, exterior painting and minor alterations.

Maintenance and Operations
Committed to supporting the K-12 Curriculum and other district supported programs. The Maintenance and Operations staff are responsible for providing year round support for education throughout the Greater ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµÎÛ School District. Our Maintenance teams are comprised of a variety of skilled journeymen and trades people. Reporting to the Secretary-Treasurer, the role of the Department is to ensure that buildings and grounds meet all regulatory requirements, and are maintained to district standards in an efficient, cost-effective manner. In maintaining a clean, safe and supportive environment for students, staff and the community, we provide the building environment for academic achievement. Staff are responsible for delivery of services in the areas of custodial services, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, glazing, roofing/sheet metal, painting, vehicle maintenance, cartage, grounds and A/V equipment.
Construction Department
Staff in the Construction Department are responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of capital and school-funded projects. Projects range from new school construction, major additions and renovations, asbestos removal, seismic upgrading, mechanical heating system replacements to flooring replacement, exterior painting and minor alterations. Functions include the submission of capital planning requirements to the ministry, coordination of design consultants for new school construction, additions and renovations, seismic upgrading and mechanical heating system replacements, project management of tendered construction projects (including contract management), inspection and coordination, preparation of construction drawings and specifications for implementation by district staff and administration of the Energy Savings, Roofing and School-Funded programs.
